ABOUT

BRIDGETOWN is a short film, from writer/director Bryan Tosh, about the relationship between a father struggling with addiction and his estranged daughter who just wants him to be a part of her life. The film is set in Portland, Oregon, hometown to Tosh, and is inspired by elements of real life experiences.

The origins of this story are almost a year in the making and involve a deeper more textured look at these characters as well as many other characters, not to mention the city itself as a character. BRIDGETOWN was pitched as a feature length film. The challenge was to condense some of it into what it is today.

Tosh wanted to touch on many darker situations that plague the city of Portland, as well as many other cities, but because of his roots in Bridgetown, he kept the focus on Portland specifically.

With a well rounded cast and experienced crew, Tosh and his Producing partner, Steven Koeppen, hope to capture the essence of the larger scale story that was originally conceived.

Welcome to BRIDGETOWN

“Unlike all the other art forms, film is able to seize and render the passage of time, to stop it, almost to possess it in infinity. I’d say that film is the sculpting of time.”

– Andrei Tarkovsky
